Hi there. Let me introduce you to TeamPal, an innovative app designed to revolutionize how we work. Wait, forgot to introduce myself. I’m Nate (the Great, if you will), and I will be guiding you through the app.

Key Concepts

Workspace

TeamPal workspace

A Workspace in TeamPal is like your digital office. It’s where all your projects, agents, tasks, and data live. Think of it as a hub for your team’s activities, but feel free to tweak the usage in any way compatible with your needs.

After you successfully create a workspace, 10 agent templates (read more below) that we think are suitable for your workspace will be automatically added in. We recommend customizing them to best suit your needs.

In the current version of TeamPal, you can only create one workspace. The multiple workspace creation feature will be available in the next update. Nevertheless, you can join countless other workspaces, as long as the respective workspace owners are on one of the paid plans!

Agent

Agent

An Agent is an AI-powered assistant that performs tasks on your behalf. Each agent can be tailored to specific roles, such as customer support, data analysis, or content creation.

For instance, you can have an agent that handles customer inquiries 24/7, providing instant responses based on your knowledge base.

See the picture above? That’s our shy friend, Roy from IT.

Task

Task

Tasks are the specific actions you want your agents to perform. In technical terms, they are optimized prompt templates with required inputs to enhance AI output. This could be anything from answering customer questions, generating reports, suggesting best practices, to scheduling meetings.

For example, you might tell Roy to suggest network security best practices. You’ll have to give him some context first, then hit Send and talk to him until you’re satisfied with the results.

The list of 20 tasks of each agent template you’ll see at first is automatically picked out from our 800+ task pool by our AI prompting technology, so there might be some irrelevant tasks. To customize the task list (delete some, add some, modify some, your choice!), use the Agent configuration feature (the gear icon on the left of the New chat button).

You can access tasks via:

  • The sidebar

Click Create to create new ones. You can preview it before saving!

Then, click Save and you’re good to go.

Note: If you’re creating a new agent from scratch, you’ll have to manually configure the task list from scratch as well.

Skill

Skills are specialized abilities that you can add to each agent to customize their functionality according to your specific needs. For example, Google search, Wikipedia access, YouTube search, etc. These skills empower agents to perform a variety of tasks efficiently, enhancing their capability to support your tasks.

How to Add?

To add a skill to your agent, go to the Super power tab in the Agent configuration. Once added, these skills will be conveniently listed in the Skills section of the Agent info area, allowing you to easily manage and review the capabilities of each agent.

Another way to add skills to your designated agent is by doing it right from the chatbox.

Note: Each agent can only be equipped with 8 skills at a time. In case the skill is not activated, mention the name of your desired skill in your prompt. Here's an example:

How to Use?

Learning what each skill means and how to combine them for the best results is important. That's why we're introducing the Skill glossary series HERE. Check them out as we offer tips & tricks to make your TeamPal experience a little easier!

Knowledge

Knowledge refers to the specific information and data that agents use to perform tasks effectively. This can save you a huge amount of time as you won't have to explain your business to the agents again in every new conversation.

How to Use?

Upload your documents, which could include FAQs, product details, or proprietary data, and equip them to your agents in the Super power section in the chat or in the Agent configuration. Or vice versa, whichever order you like!

There are 3 options available to ensure convenience for your knowledge uploads:

  • Upload file: choose a file from your device to add to the knowledge base

  • Import from URL: paste the link and let us do the rest

  • Input text: type/paste internal data right away without having the leave the page

This customization ensures that agents are well-equipped to handle queries and tasks relevant to your specific products and services. By equipping agents with this targeted knowledge, they are enabled to perform tasks more effectively.

Brand Voice

Brand voice is not just about maintaining a consistent tone; it’s about embedding your brand’s personality into every interaction made by the agents. Users must define and assign a specific brand voice to each agent, ensuring it aligns with the company’s values and resonates with the intended audience.

This customization is crucial across all applications of agents, whether in marketing, customer service, or internal communications, as it helps reinforce the brand identity and ensures a uniform experience across all user touchpoints.

How to Create Brand Voice?

Simply create a brand voice by clicking on the Create button, then input this information.

You can even utilize help from AI to refine the brand voice description. However, this feature will cost you a small amount of credits.

How to Use?

Similar to Skills and Knowledge, you can equip Brand voice to your agents in 2 ways. 

The first method is to access Agent configuration (the Gear icon below each agent’s profile) and go to Super power. Pick a Brand voice and you’re all set.

A Basic TeamPal Workflow

This guide aims to provide you with an overview of the core capabilities through a logical, step-by-step tutorial. However, let me be clear - these steps are not set in stone.

Our interface is intentionally flexible, allowing you to explore and utilize features based on your unique needs and preferences. Consider this a friendly roadmap to familiarize yourself with the key functionalities.

Rest assured, whether you follow these steps precisely or forge your own path, I’m here to support you every step of the way via [email protected]. So, roll up our sleeves, and let’s dive in together.

Set Up Workspace

  • Create a workspace: Begin by creating a new workspace, and get up to x2 AI credits during trial! This involves naming your workspace, defining its purpose, and setting any initial parameters that align with your project goals. The workspace acts as a centralized hub where all your AI agents and resources are organized.

  • Join an existing workspace: Alternatively, join an existing workspace if you are collaborating with a team. Ask the workspace owner to invite you, and an email will be sent to you. As a member, you can immediately access and utilize the AI agents configured within the workspace. Although you won’t have editing privileges, this route allows for quick integration into ongoing projects.

  • Customize default agent: After you successfully create a workspace, 10 agent templates that we think are suitable for your workspace will be automatically added in. Then, you can customize each one to better suit your needs.

  • Choose from agent library: If 10 default agents aren’t enough, select from TeamPal’s extensive library of pre-built AI agents designed for various functions.

  • Create an AI agent: Or, you can opt to create a custom agent tailored to your specific needs from scratch. This flexibility ensures you have the right tools for any task, but at a cost of 30 credits.

  • Enhance with personal data: You can equip them with the necessary knowledge from relevant documents, datasets, and existing knowledge bases... you’ve uploaded or integrated within the Knowledge and Brand voice sections.

Perform a Task

Deploy your AI agents to execute tasks simply by chatting. Whether it’s handling customer inquiries, performing data analysis, or generating content, the agents are designed to work autonomously and efficiently, freeing up your team to focus on strategic initiatives.

There are some suggested tasks at first, but feel free to customize them in Agent configuration (the gear icon to the left of the New chat button) or simply type your requests into the chatbox. Say hi to Roy from IT again!

If the output isn't satisfying enough, you can either:

  • Re-generate response messages for different responses or use different AI models.

  • Or modify your own messages (including chat configurations such as Super power, Attach files, etc.) and watch the AI auto-regenerate responses.

You can even edit and refine agents' outputs. Your edits set the new context, guiding their future responses with the latest version. Plenty of tips to make the best out of your agent chats, right?

One more thing, you can upload files that are relevant to the task into the corresponding chat. Images, PDFs, Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, you name it! 

Upload them directly while chatting with AI using the Attach file button, either from your device or from Google Drive. You can connect TeamPal with multiple Google accounts and disconnect whenever you need!

Note:

  • Files are stored only in the corresponding chat

  • You can only upload a maximum of 10 files in one chat

  • Make sure your files are within the supported file types and size

Share Workspace/Agent (Optional)

If collaboration is key to your workflow, share your workspace or specific AI agents with team members or external stakeholders.

This feature facilitates seamless collaboration, allowing others to interact with and benefit from the AI capabilities you’ve developed. Sharing can be tailored to provide view-only access or more interactive engagement, depending on your needs.

In case you forgot, if you join someone else’s workspace, you won’t be able to configure the workspace. Nevertheless, you can utilize the workspace in its entirety right away.

To invite more members into your workspace:

  • Go to Settings and click on an Empty seat

To share agents:

  • Go to Agent configuration (the gear icon) on that agent’s page

  • Click on the Publish tab and modify the sharing options

Plans & Credits

Which Paid Plan Should I Go For?

TeamPal offers various paid plans to fit different needs:

  • Pro plan: Ideal for medium-sized teams. Offers s limited amount of agents, credits and access to all advanced features.

  • Advanced plan: Designed for large teams that require heavy use of AI. Includes even more agents and credits to accommodate the usage.

  • One-time credit: If the monthly amount isn’t enough, you can consider buying one-time credits for some advanced features in the app. Scroll down for details on AI credits.

  • Member seat: If the number of free member seats you get from your plan isn’t enough, you can buy more individual seats. Pay once and get that seat forever!

Selecting the right TeamPal plan involves assessing your needs, considering your budget, and planning for future growth. Choose from Basic to Advanced plans based on the number of agents and features you require. The ideal plan should fit your current operations and scale as your business expands, ensuring efficiency and value.

Meanwhile, the one-time credit and member seat purchases will ensure you have the flexibility to adapt to your team’s needs.

Detail

Access period

The amount of time you get access to your account.

Note that for the Free trial, you and the invited members lose the access to your workspace when your trial expires. But you still have the access to the app to use the advanced features of the workspaces you’ve joined, as long as the workspace owners are on one of the plans.

Historical chat storage

The amount of time each of your chats is saved and stored on the server. When exceeding the time limit, that chat will be automatically deleted.

Total knowledge size

The storage limit of your brand’s knowledge base.

File size per upload

The size limit of each file uploaded on the knowledge base.

File page per upload

The page limit of each file uploaded on the knowledge base.

Total agents

The amount of agents you can add to your workspace.

Total published agents

The amount of agents you can publish and share externally.

Credit per month

The amount of credits you’re granted each month. This amount will be reset every month, so even if you haven’t used up your monthly amount, those credits won’t be topped up in the next month. If the monthly amount isn’t enough, you can consider buying one-time credits (just scroll down a bit for the pricing)!

Member seat

The number of accounts you can invite to your workspace for free. If your team size requires more seats, you can consider buying individual seats right below the One-time credits section.

 

Credit Explained

Credits are a virtual currency within the TeamPal platform designed to unlock and access advanced features. They play a crucial role in enhancing your experience and maximizing the potential of our AI workforce solution.

Here are what they can be used for:

  • Workspace creation: Create new workspaces for each brand or campaign with AI credits. Currently, you can only work with one workspace you created in the beginning; we’re planning for multiple workspace creations in the near future. Nevertheless, you can still join an unlimited number of workspaces created by other accounts. Use that to your advantage!

  • Original agent creation/configuration: Use credits to create and configure customized AI agents tailored to your specific business needs and industry requirements.

  • Knowledge uploads: Credits enable you to upload and integrate your own knowledge base, ensuring your AI agents have access to your company’s specific information and expertise.

  • Brand voice analysis: You can paste a content piece with your desired brand voice for our system to analyze and write a detailed description instead of doing it yourself.

  • Agent chats: Credits allow you to engage in conversations with AI agents, enabling you to test and refine your custom AI workforce. The credit amount varies depending on the AI model you use and the length of the agent’s output.

Note: A “message” is defined as 1 user’s input + 1 AI output. For example, if you use GPT 4o, you’d spend 15 credits to send a message (whether it be a task, a question, a follow-up message, etc.) and receive the chosen AI’s answer for that message. Your next message will count as another message and will cost you another 15 credits.

For optimal credit usage, plan ahead by estimating your credit needs based on your intended use of advanced features. This foresight helps ensure you always have enough credits for essential tasks.

Make it a habit to check your credit balance regularly. By monitoring your usage frequently, you can avoid unexpected shortages and proactively purchase more credits when needed. This practice ensures uninterrupted access to TeamPal’s advanced features.
